Add the ricotta, milk powder, castor sugar, and cinnamon in a microwave safe bowl and stir to combine well.
Microwave the mixture on high for 5 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir well with a whisk. Repeat the process every five minutes for 15-20 minutes depending on the power of your microwave, until the mixture comes tighter in a soft thick dough.
Pour mixture into a slightly greased tray and sprinkle with ground cardamom.
Garnish with chopped pistachios, chopped flaked almond and rose petals.
Allow burfi to set for 30minutes. Cut into squares and allow a further 1hr – 11/2hr for the burfi to set completely. Refrigerate to hasten the process.
Store any leftover burfis in the fridge.
