About
Hi, I'm Sadhna
I created this platform to share and leave a legacy for my son and the children of fellow Fiji Indians through my passion for food.
My heritage is Indian but I was born on the idyllic tropical island of Fiji. I am the fourth generation Indian in my family who was born in Fiji. My ancestors were taken to Fiji in 1879….. as indentured labourers to work on sugar cane plantations.
I have called Australia home for over 30years now but I still remain very connected to Fiji. I have travelled since I was very young, from living in Penzance, Cornwall in England to regular visits to Paris and many other places in between. Travelling has allowed me to discover new places but more importantly new flavours and tastes yet I still crave the food of my childhood.
I am very excited to share with you the flavours of my childhood and heritage. I look forward to giving you the authentic taste of Fiji Indian food, recipes which are influenced by my past and inspired by my present.
So let me whisk you away to the sandy beaches and turquoise waters, to the aroma of coconut and curry and the balance of chilli, tamarind and sugar; the amazing taste and flavours of my tropical island home.

Supporting Charity
We believe that every child should laugh, dance, play and live as only a child can. Every child and their family deserves to be well, maintain hope and continue to dream. We believe in creating a better life for kids living with cancer.
WOWS Kids Fiji is a registered charitable trust based in Suva. WKF works in close collaboration with the Fiji Cancer Society and in association with the Ministry of Health and other partners to administer support to children journeying with cancer.
WKF was founded in Tonga under Tae Kami Foundation, the homeland of 15year old Tae Kami who passed away in 2008 after a 4 year battle with cancer.
Tae had been a student at the Holy Trinity Primary School in Suva and Queen Salote College in Tonga, hence her wish that children in both countries receive the kind of support she received while on treatment in New Zealand.
Tae’s dream was for the creation of a relief fund to support young cancer victims and documented a list of priorities.
This list of priorities has led to the emergence of WKF, along with its vision and mission.
WOWS is drawn from WALK ON, WALK STRONG…. the song written and recorded by Tae as her testimony and to give hope to those facing difficulties including cancer.
WKF supports and assists children with cancer and their parents.
